A Childhood Memory That Became a Mission

The story of China Straw started with a childhood memory.
Growing up in the countryside, our founder spent many years surrounded by farmland. Every harvest season was a special time. Farmers collected the crops they had carefully grown throughout the year, and the fields were filled with the joy of harvest.
But after the harvest, another scene quietly appeared.
Large amounts of straw remained in the fields as part of the natural agricultural cycle. For many years, different regions developed their own ways of managing this leftover material, including traditional practices such as burning.
Our founder still remembers those autumn days clearly.
The smell of smoke in the air.
The fields covered by a layer of haze.

Seeing a resource that came from nature return to nature in a way that was not ideal.
At that time, he was only a child and did not have the ability to change anything.
But one question stayed with him:
“Could straw have another journey?”
Many years later, this childhood memory became the beginning of China Straw.

From a Question to a Team’s Journey

In 2021, our team began exploring how agricultural straw could be transformed into valuable fiber materials and sustainable packaging solutions.
From the beginning, we understood that this would not be a simple process.
Straw is a natural material with unique characteristics. Its fiber structure can vary depending on crop type, region, and harvest conditions. Turning agricultural straw into stable, reliable packaging materials required deep research, continuous testing, and constant improvement.
During three years of research and development, our team worked through many challenges.
Some processing methods needed to be redesigned.
Some approaches that seemed promising at first needed further refinement.
Every improvement came from careful testing, collaboration, and persistence.
There were moments when we had to return to the beginning and rethink our direction.
But we never forgot why we started.
We wanted to discover new value from agricultural resources, create sustainable solutions for our customers, and contribute to a healthier environment.

A Belief Rooted in the Land

Our logo is inspired by a traditional Chinese land temple.
For generations, these small temples have quietly stood near villages and farmland, representing people’s gratitude and respect for the land that provides food and supports communities.
This connection between people and the land has always inspired us.
The land gives us resources.
Farmers nurture and protect it through their work.
And we believe businesses should use resources responsibly and find ways to give back.
This belief became the foundation of China Straw.
We do not see agricultural straw as waste.
We see it as a natural resource waiting to begin a new journey.
